This web page is here to provide Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning teenagers in Tucson and Southern Arizona with a few links to many available resources outside of Tucson for Gay & Questioning youth on the Internet. None of these direct links contain connections to porn or are pornographic in nature.
With that said, the sites below, marked with a
icon are blocked by the Amphitheater Public Schools WebSense filtering software for, "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual content" whatever that might mean! As I state above, none of the links from this page lead to anything remotely described as pornographic. You will see flesh and titulation on MTV than on all these sites combined.
This is an obvious case of bias and discrmination -- homophobia alert!. Funny thing is, the Amphi District has a non-discrimination policy that specifically includes GLBT students as a protected class.
So... what can you do about it? Please visit the Filtered Gay Internet Links while you are at school (in a computer lab or library computer during your free time) and fill out the requested information. I will gather your responses and I am looking at different options.
